Nessebar

Nessebar

Nessebar is one of the oldest towns in Europe, with a history of over 3,000 years, and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Old Town preserves remains from Thracian, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods.

The town is famous for its numerous churches, which is why it is often called the “Town of Forty Churches”. Walking along its cobblestone streets reveals layers of history concentrated in a small peninsula by the sea.
