The Pomorie Salt Pans are located near the town of Pomorie and are the oldest site for sea salt production in Bulgaria. Salt is extracted using traditional, manual methods through the evaporation of seawater. The area is also known for its healing mud and brine used in balneotherapy, as well as for its rich biodiversity and the Salt Museum.
